Course Objective

The course aims to apply soil and production well drilling plan, apply to take of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples, apply to some permeability and soil field test, pumping test in production well.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Giving the soil drilling equipment and production drillings operations and equipment
2 Prepare of series for soil sampling, preparation of bore machine for production drilling
3 Disturbed and undisturbed soil sampling, penetrate every 1.5 m of a SPT, cleaning of the production drilling wells and preparation of drilling mud
4 Penetrate casing into the well, drilling operation for production wells, prepare drilling muds
5 Field permeability (water pressure test) test, make drilling mud and experiments
6 Field permeability (water pressure test) test, make drilling mud and experiments
7 Mid term exam
8 Penetrate pressuremeter test in well, development of production wells with compressors, make mud experiments
9 Plate bearing test, cone penetration and vane shear test, develeopment process of well, make drilling mud experiments
10 Use wire-line core drilling line, penetrate production casing on mouth of drilling wells, make drilling mud experiments
11 Use wire-line core drilling series, cores taken from the wells and calculation of RQD and CR values, and logging, well production parameters to be tested with the pump and drilling mud made experiments
12 Injection molding do in the Well, injection molding equipment used, the parameters of the production wells to be tested with the compressor, drilling mud made experiments
13 Well done in the fishing operations
14 Well drilling fluid application of techniques for the prevention of leaks

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, mostly includes field study in drilling site. Students use drilling machine and make field test.
