Course Objective

Classification of materials, introduction to constituents forming material, teaching the methods to determine mechanical properties of materials

1   To classify materials.
2   To realize the constituents as atom, crystal and bonds forming materials
3   To define materials.
4   To know the methods for identifing mechanical properties of materials.
5   To comment test results applied to materials.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This lecture will be processed theoritically in class. Teaching staff will give the subjects by using slides, will discuss with students by asking and answering and will give term works for a better understanding of subjects.
