Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide terms and concepts that form the basis of the science of chemistry and the basic theories of these concepts. The main objective of this course is to give fundamentals of chemistry covering matter: properties and measurement, the basic structure of the atom, formation of molecules and ions, chemical bonding, quantitative relationships in chemical equations, solutions and concentration units.

3   To define and to classify the elements of periodic system
4   To term the chemical bonds and its compounds
5   To solve the problems related to quantitative relationships in chemical equations
