Course Objective

The course aims to give main source of waters, occurrence of surface and groundwaters, which are storage in geological layers and production technique

1   To identify the main information of hydrogeology
2   To describe the main mechanism of groundwater flow and flow properties
3   To know the resource and operate methods of groundwater
4   To identify the aquifer hydraulic properties
5   To calculate the well hydraulic parameters

1 Main objectives of hydrogeology and water cycle
2 Distribution of groundwater
3 The groundwater flow patterns
4 Groundwater flow in porous and fractured environment
5 Aquifer types, confined and unconfined aquifer
6 Various rock aquifers; fractured rocks, porous and karstic aquifers
7 Mid term exam
8 Darcy's law: defining the hydraulic parameters of the aquifer
9 Well hydraulics
10 Steady state and unstate state well hydraulics
11 Calculation of hydrological parameters
12 Calculation of hydrological parameters
13 Giving the methods for groundwater management and research
14 Field Study; Well tests
