Course Objective

Introduction of technical ceramics for special engineering needs beside conventional ceramics, teaching production techniques and application fields.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To classify oxide and non-oxide technical ceramics.
2   To know the properties of oxide and non-oxide technical ceramics.
3   To realize the production methods of non-oxide technical ceramics.
4   To define sintering phenomena and to gain fundemental knowledge about sintering
5   To know the application fields of technical ceramics.
