Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to gain the skills and experiences to do all the controls during the production stages of ceramic production.

1   To outline the controls of raw material and body preparation.
2   To define shaping controls.
3   To describe drying and firing controls.
4   To list the glaze and frit preparation and application controls.
5   To outline the final product controls.
6   To apply the relevant tests.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The theoretical lectures of the course will be taught in the classroom and the applications of the theoretical issues will be taught in the laboratory. The instructor will discuss the theoretical and applications of the course for better understanding.
