Course Objective

To classify aggregates (natural aggregates, artificial aggregates, recycled aggregates). To Recognize and determine the material properties of aggregate. To know the place of use of aggregates (concrete aggregate, asphalt aggregate, railroad ballast, gabion applications, armourstone) to recognize Aggregate quarries

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation, discussion and field observation format. Lecture gives subject and students discuss and prepare some presentation and all students discuss each other. Additionally some tests apply in laboratory.
