Course Objective

When students complete this course; they can be able to have basic medical terminology about disease classification, disease prevention and reporting used in the field of health services health services.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Discuss the concepts of disease and health
2   Classify diseases that are common in the society according to the systems
3   Know and use basic definitions and terms in the field of imaging, laboratories and some clinical tests
4   Describe the basic definitions and concepts of record keeping and reporting terminology
5   Explain the basic definitions and concepts of drug terminology terminology

3 Medical terminology related to diseases (Musculoskeletal System)
4 Medical terminology related to diseases (Respiratory and Cardiovascular systems)
5 Medical terminology related to diseases (Gastrointestinal system)
6 Medical terminology related to diseases (Endocrine system)
7 Medical terminology related to diseases (Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat)
8 Midterm Exam
9 Medical terminology related to diseases (Central and Peripheral Nervous System)
10 Terms related to disease prevention and occupational diseases
