Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the laboratory instruments and their uses, the cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory instruments and the safety rules in the laboratory.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Follow the laboratory safety rules.
2   Define the laboratory materials and their uses.
3   Use the balance, pH meter, pipettes, centrifuges, spectrophotometer, prepare solutions and make incubation.
4   Define laboratory glassware and plasticware and their uses.
5   Define SI unit system.
6   Converts units from different systems.
7   Define the amount of a substance and explain the mole.
8   Calculate the concentrations of solutions.
