Course Objective

Virology and mycology, and issues relating to the diagnosis of these factors to gain knowledge and skills in laboratory applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills about hepatitis viruses and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.
2   Acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills about Retroviruses, rabies virus and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.
3   Have the knowledge and skills to orthomyxoviruses and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.
4   Have the knowledge and skills to picornaviruses and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.
5   Acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills about Herpes viruses, and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.
6   Have the knowledge and skills to yeast and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.
7   Acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills about mold and laboratory tests used to identify these factors.

10 Superficial fungal infections of skin, dermatophytes
11 Subcutaneous mycoses, Candida
12 Systemic mycoses
