Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and skills to the students on Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound and DEXA systems in classrooms and hospital conditions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to identify magnetic resonance Imaging system.
2   Being able to understand the basic physics principles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
3   Being able to scan Magnetic Resonance Imaging
4   Being able to evaluate image quality in MRI
5   Being able to select and apply different sequences in MRI
6   Being able to prepare the contrast agents in MRI
7   Being able to perform MRI study according to different anatomical region
8   Being able to identify Ultrasound
9   Being able to know patient examination on US
10   Being able to identfy and to use DOPPLER US

2 MRI Theory Nuclear spin; Nuclear magnetic moment, required properties of nuclei that is useful in MR, Larmor Frequency, Chemical shift Relaxation Times (T1,T2 ect)
3 Achieve the cross sectional MR image
4 Basic Pulse Sequences in MRI
5 Factors affecting the MR images
6 Basic Pulse Sequences in MRI
7 Mid-term exam
8 Properties, preparation and selection of the contrast agents in MRI
9 Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Methods
10 Advanced MRI Methods
11 Clinical Practice in MRI
12 The structure Ultrasound system and obtaining image in US
13 The examination DOPPLER US and imaging
14 Doppler US and imaging
