Course Objective

The aim of this course is to gain students competencies related thermodynamics concepts, thermodynamics laws, thermal systems and power cycles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define of basic concepts of thermodynamics
2   To be able to do general energy conversion and solving
3   To be able to find the properties of a pure substance
4   To be able to apply the first law of thermodynamics to closed systems
5   To be able to apply the first law of thermodynamics to open systems
