Course Objective

To recognize plant products and crop plants, to have current information about grain kinds, to learn principles of farming, and to collect current information about horticulture plants and products.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define importance species of fruit, vegetables, ornamental plants and vine.
2   Being able to prove importance of field plants in Turkey farming.
3   Being able to know general propagation techniques and be able to apply these techniques in plant species.
4   Being able to evaluate basic problems in farming of horticulture plants.
5   Being able to evaluate researches of farming of horticulture plants.

6 Soil requirements of horticultural plants

9 Resarch ecological requirements of important fruit and vegetable species
10 Generative propagation of horticultural plants and field rops, its application
11 Vegetative propagation of horticultural plants and field rops, its application
12 Plant a fruit garden and vine
13 Plant a vegetable garden
14 Introduction of important cut flower and indoor ornamental plants and its propagation, general information about some of the outdoor plants
