Course Objective

The aim of this course to teach the basic knowledge of the science of geology and to gain competencies related to gemstones, metals, minerals and rocks in nature and recognition of them to students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to describe the basic concepts of information and the science of geology.
2   Be able to classifiy rocks ith the basic definition of rock and minerals.
3   Be able to compare main rock groups that make up the Earth's crust relate to each other.
4   Be able to define Magmatism, plutonism, volcanism, and the Geological Time Table.
5   Be able to explain the geological formation mechanisms of the planet earth.
