Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the unit operations used in chemical technology (extraction, gas absorption, humidification, dehumidification, cooling, drying, crystallization, filtration, crushing and grinding) to the sudents.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to classify the extraction systems.
2   To be able to define gas absorption and solvents used in absorption.
3   To be able to perform basic calculations of drying process.
4   To be able to sort steps of crystallization.
5   To be able to compare crushing, grinding and size reduction operations.
6   To be able to interpret sieve analysis results.
