Course Objective

To introduce the reinforced concrete systems and to apply the each stage of the reinforced concrete design principles on a sample Project.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student will be expected to define the loads of reinforced concrete elements in order to be able to find basic RC element loads.
2   The student will be expected to size the RC elements according to results of the structural computations to be able to define the dimensions of simple RC elements.
3   It is expected that the student will be able to draw RC elements in order to draw simple RC elements.
4   The student will be expected to research literature on RC and Project design in order to aware of the possible choices.
5   The student will be expected to perform the Project stages according to work Schedule in order to complete the Project on time.
