Course Objective |
The course aims at preparing a collection of printed textiles for apparel design based on a theme chosen related actual fashion terms. Designs formed depanding on the inspiration source aim to design and practise without considering technical and aesthetical features, product uses and target consumers |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Students are expected to study actual fashion trends and related catwalks and follow periodicals and target consumers and their tendencies.They should be able to question concepts, subheadings of the theme they have established based on current trends and pile them in reports. They are also assigned to do works of hue, texture and pattern and prepare sketching books. Sketching is supposed to develop into a more aim-specified process based on critisism and resolutions made during the course, which is to proceed with the purpose and finished items in every steps. The transition from design to output benefits from CAD processes and performs a technical resolution for the matter involved. The application process considers uses of garment fabrics to be produced, compositons, research dimensions of assesment of target consumer in the course, efficient benefits from unique visual material, development of patterns suitable to finished item and preparation of the collection involved. One also considers whether a aim-related design have been created from design process to finished item. |
