Course Objective

It s aimed to strengthen the visual presentation by transmitting private artistic style, texture and colour use.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Perform the marker, water color paint and techniques of the similar materials,
2   Colourise the skin and hair on drawing,
3   Bring in the fur, leather and chiffon texture and colorise,
4   Perform the suitable colorisation for the designs,
5   Bring in the pattern qualities in the designs,
6   Convert his / her designs into realistic presentations

Course Contents

1 Searching the different pose sketches and the pose positions on silhouette in artistic design studies
2 Teaching the watercolor, marker, dry paint and combined technique via dressed silhouette
3 Fur texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
4 Leather texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
5 Chiffon texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
6 Denim texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
7 Plain and cord velvet texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
8 Towel texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
9 Satin texture study, performing the texture effect by paints
10 Presentation studies of gossamer and stripe via dressed silhouettes
11 Presentation of three selected texture of which colorisation studies are finished, through two designs for each
12 Project sheet studies
13 Studies and editing through the project sheets
14 Project sheet studies

The lecturer guides students to body drawing and stylisation via anatomic structure and geometric forms. She / he wants them to prepare sketches and various application

Assessment Criteria

The evaluation will be according to the silhouette drawing, dressing the designs, the harmony of the texture and colorisation with the designs in accordance with the assigned projects.

1. There is a 70 % obligation in attendance to lesson.
2. All plagiarism attempts and actions would end up in disciplinary punishment
3. Nonattendance to the lesson, not performing the required responsibilities will not be accepted.
4. For late project deliveries, decreasing a letter grade for each day will be applied.
