Course Objective

It is aimed to teach all stages of the transition from design to production of a garment (for example, skirt, trousers and dress).

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn the importance of target group in preparing collection for product sales.
2   To learn the importance of performing marketing research for the target group
3   To learn the fabric, accessories and other material information for models according to the market requirement
4   To learn how to make a difference for setting off the sale
5   To be able to prepare a collection for the achieved difference.

1 To make a market research in order to know the target group better,
2 To give the information of product presentations visually and theoretically in the stores,
3 To explain the searching the reason of the best seller products sales,
4 To explain the searching the reason of the best seller products sales,
5 The study of determination of the difference of best seller products in the market,
6 Reflecting the difference upon the product drawings by sketch studies,
7 Beginning a collection by selecting the models from the sketches,
8 Colour, fabric and accessories selections suitable for the models
9 Performing a market research for preparing the hem and decoration suitable for the models,

11 Studying the technical information of prepared models by getting them in a technical drawing

1. There is an 80 % obligation in attendance to lesson.
2. All plagiarism attempts and actions would end up in disciplinary punishment
3. Nonattendance to the lesson, not performing the required responsibilities will not be accepted.
4. For late project deliveries, decreasing a letter grade for each day will be applied.
