Course Objective |
It is necessary for the students of Traditional Turkish Art Department, Department of Carpet-Rug Old Fabric Designs to learn the history of textile art and methods and techniques of weaving. Historical resources will be used as a reference in the designs and applications the students will make. Different weaving methods and techniques will be used in applications. |

In this course, the lecturer s notes and resource researches will be used. Visual presentation will be done, and application works will be realized in the workshop under the supervision of the lecturer. |

80 % attendance is compulsory. Workshop studies are nominal. Especially, designs and applications have to be completed in the lesson s time. |
