Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the students to reproduce old tile works by maintaining the same features as much as possible; and also teach them the technical features, production methods, periodic features of Ottoman Tiles, theoretically and practical.

1   know the history of tiles in Seljuk period,
2   explain the technical features of tiles in Seljuk period,
3   identify the technical features of the chosen object,
4   reproduce the chosen object,
5   prepare a project and present it.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be given theoretically and practical. Applications will focus on Seljuk ceramics -Tiles. The results will be discussed in class.
