Course Objective

The aim of this course is to instruct the development of the thousand-year-old textile technique and art in Ottoman, Far-East, Africa, America and West Europe.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   be informed of the textiles produced in Ottoman period,
2   be informed of the textiles produced in Far East,
3   be informed of the African textiles,
4   be informed of the textiles produced in America,
5   be informed of the West Europe textiles,
6   present his study by means of the information he has gained.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

After instructing about the history of textile, we aim to discuss regional and technical subjects after translating some texts about different textile applications in different parts of the world.
