Course Objective

It is aimed to support the students academically on the field they want to specialize and on their artistic studies, and have them make designs and practices in addition to their Certificate Study course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   make original designs related to the subject they will study on,
2   foresee the produced form of their designs,
3   solve the possible problems emerging during the transition from designing to production,
4   turn on the marbling tub,
5   make at least a part of their designs suitable for the technique

Since the resources will vary according to the subject chosen by the student, the student will search and examine the subject of the specialty study.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

After scanning the books and articles and visual materials related to the area, marbling will be analysed technically and artistically and original designs related to the theme will be made.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

All the studies the student has made will be evaluated as a project and this study will be presented in front of a jury. The student s performance during presentation and the study he has made will be evaluated separately.

Assessment Criteria

The project and the presentation performance will separately be evaluated out of 100. The 60% of the project grade and the 40% of the performance will make the pass grade.

Course Policies and Rules

The compulsory attendance is 80%.
Before the end of the term, in the last 15 days, students will be able to learn their attendance. the project of students having absenteeism over 80% will not be taken into evaluation.
Students who come to the class until 5 minutes late after the course starts may attend the lesson. But the ones coming later may not. Even if they attend the course, they will be considered absent. Absentee is checked every 2 hours.
