Course Objective

First we aim to have the students create their own patterns by using the knitting techniques and derivations used in fabrics. Afterwards, we will help them to weave their patterns on dobby weaving loom using the threads and materials they have chosen.

In the lesson, It is necessary for the students to eliminate the difference of basic knitting and derivations by examining previously made woven fabrics.

Assessment Criteria

In accordance with the aim of the course, It is necessary for the students to learn what kind of knitting has been used while manufacturing the fabric, and to understand the reason of the textural differences of these knittings.
