Course Objective


In addition to general information about the history of the civilization line, the learning, the emergence, development and rise of the art of Islam to the level of art in the historical process constitutes the content of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   have the knowledge about the historical improvement of Turkish Islamıc Calligraphy Art
2   branch out in accordance with the features of Turkish Islamıc Calligraphy Art in centuries,
3   analyze the existing samples of Turkish Islamıc Calligraphy Art in centuries,
4   Artists in Turkish Islamıc Calligraphy Art and their styles
5   Schools inthe geography of Islam which is the factorin art of Turkish Islamıc Calligraphy

After scanning books and articles and visual materials about the subject to be worked on, personal field subject about the Illumination Art will be analyzed from the point of art;

The final and midterm will be evaluated out of 100 separately.

Course Policies and Rules

The compulsory attendance is 80%.
Before the end of the term, in the last 15 days, students will be able to learn their attendance. Students having absenteeism over 80% won t be accepted to the final exam.
Students who come to the class until 5 minutes late after the course starts may attend the lesson. But the ones coming later may not. Even if they attend the course, they will be considered absent. Absentee is checked every 2 hours.
At the end of each course, the next lesson s subject is given to the students as study and research subject. So, students come to the next lesson ready.
