Course Objective

To learn toxic mechanisms of medicines, to classificate the toxic medicine types and to have knowledge about general specialities of toxins, to determine the teratogenic potantials of medicines and other substances, to learn the teratogenic effects of medicines and substances, and to convey information about teratogenicity.

4   To have knowledge about teratogenicity and to know teratogenic effect s importence

Course Contents

1 Embryogenesis and systems of the developmental biology (Stages of human embryogenesis, central nervous system, circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive and excretory systems of developmental biology)
2 Teratogenic effect mechanisms of the medicines and toxins
3 Teratogenicity information services, their operations and teratogenicity data systems, and risk assesment
4 Using of analgesics and anti-inflamatory medicines during pregnancy and their risk assesment
5 Using of anti-infective medicines during pregnancy and their risk assesment
6 Using of anti-hypertensive medicines during pregnancy and their risk assesment
7 Using of antidepressants during pregnancy and their risk assesment
8 Using of anticonvulsants during pregnancy and their risk assesment
9 Using of neuroleptics during pregnancy and their risk assesment
10 Using of sedative-hypnotics during pregnancy and their risk assesment
11 Using of anti-asthmatic medicines during pregnancy and their risk assesment
12 Using of plants and herbal products during pregnancy and their risk assesment
13 Using of hair-dyes and organic solvents during pregnancy and their risk assesment
14 Using of X-rays during pregnancy and their risk assesment
