1   At the end of this course, student will be expected to have a knowledge of the following:

3   2. What kind of theoretical approaches one can develop on cinema,
4   3. In what ways one can use such theories in film analyses,
5   4. The connections between film history and theoretical approaches, and
6   5. What kind of socioeconomic and cultural influences cinema has.

The courses will be held through
1. the students preparation for the course by reading the assigned texts and discussing them with their classmates before the class,
2. the students active participation in class by asking questions and through discussions, and
3. in addition to doing the necessary readings in relation to film theory, by supplementing their written contribution to class through homeworks and exams.
