Course Objective

Determination of the economical and cultural problems in the turkish cinema, and the examination by comparison of turkish cinema's examples with the world's important cinema examples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   It is expected to evaluate the effects of changing conditions of economic, historical and social in Turkish Yesilcam period and after.
2   To be able to identify changing conditions of current Turkish cinema. To evaluate the involved society and its cinema along with cultural perspective.
3   To be able to determine and evaluate of difficulties of Turkish cinema in terms of culture and economics.
4   To be able to discuss problems of Turkish cinema within culture and economics fields.
5   To be able to do research and evaluate widely the social and cultural problems while individually focussing on cinema itself.
6   To be able to do research and evaluate the issues of Iranian society's culture, economics, and specificly, its cinema.
7   To be able to evaluate how the economic, historical and social changes reflecting on to Iranian cinema.
8   To be able to explain economic, cultural and social conditions by contrasting the exemplary Turkish and Iranian films.
