Course Objective

Elements of a scenario such as; event, character, type, conflict, time and space, will be presented and analyzed through films and scenarios alongside with technical indispensable patterns of scenario such as; plan, sequence and scene. To support with exercises and home works of each theoretical work done by the class in order to be able to reinforce technical and practical part. To create the space for students' comprehending theoretical knowledge through film and scenario readings.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the semester, basics of scenario like film story, event, character, type and conflict will be comprehended.
2   Time and space concepts which are as necessary as film story, event and characters for scenario will be given by practical exercises.
3   Readings related to scenario will be comprehended by film screening and analysis.
4   For write more advanced scenario in the future students will be gain the rudiments.
5   Guideline of differences between film and scenario will be comprehended.
6   After giving of theoretical and practical knowledge, the concept of scenario, in a basic level, will be acquired and passed to the writing stage.

5 Creating conflict in story and scenario.
6 Examples to concept of conflict from scenarios and films in story and scenario.
7 Examples to concept of conflict from scenarios and films through story and scenario.
8 Time and space knowledge in a film story
9 Time and space knowledge in a film story
10 Analysis of time and space knowledge in film through film analysis.
11 Analysis of time and space knowledge in film through film analysis.
12 Plan, scene and sequence in scenario. Dissemination of homework through what has been learnt.
13 Evaluating and correcting of assignments.
14 General assessment.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Main elements needed to write a film story and to turn it to a scenario like character, type, event and conflict will be presented and they will be analyzed through films. To make readings of written scenarios. To compare what has been learnt both theoretically and practically. To present basics of technical part of scenario; to present differences of plan, scene and sequence and to give exercises and home works by these subjects.
