Course Objective

This course aims to examine the ways of representation in cinema (minority, marginal groups, other, gender, class etc.) via selected films.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Have information on representation in cinema,
2   2. Gain awareness to different ways of representation in films and distinguish them.
3   3. Be able to realise good and bad examples of representation,
4   4. Have information on identity and stereotypes,
5   5. Have information on the basic tools of representation.

Representation in cinema will be examined on selected films with the contribution of the students.
