Course Objective

Help students gain comptetence with digital two-dimensional animation techniques and principles.

5 Destructive and non-destructive image processing techniques

9 Introduction to vector based (resolution independent) images
10 Introduction to digital typography
11 An overview of image retouching techniques
12 Introduction to digital color theory and color adjustments
13 An overview of creating characters and environments for digital animation

Assignments and projects are evaluated by the course instructor. Class participation grade is decided by the instructor, based on the student's participation, classwork and preparedness.

2) Absence from the lecture will not be considered as an excuse for not turning in homeworks and projects.
