Course Objective

Under the supervision of an audiologist or ENT doctor , determining hearing threshold successfully in the audiology clinics , performing speech audiometry during the tests are performing , masking is done in accordance with the rules and screening newborn.Performing audiological assessments of hearing loss or balance disorder patients and discussing the tests results.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Performs pure tone audiometry and acoustic immitansmetry test battery.
2   Performs newborn hearing screening.
3   Performs masking accordance to the tests.
4   Solves the problems during audiological evaluation in working life.
5   Performs otoacoustic emission tests.

5 Applying Transient auto acoustic emission test Applying Distortion product auto-acoustic emission test
6 As a result of audiologic evaluation, can be commented on the location of the lesion causing hearing loss Free space to conduct tests of pediatric patients Performing free space conduct tests of pediatric patients
7 Audiological assessment in geriatric patients
8 Participates in vestibular assesment with audiologist
9 Participates in vestibular assesment
10 Hearing devices selection criterias, participates hearing device applications
