Course Objective

It is the fact that graduates of the audiometry program that serve a wide part of the society, such as healthy individuals, hearing-impaired individuals, individuals with special needs, and healthcare professionals encountered in the process of professional practice, have basic knowledge in the fields of communication and language speaking skills.
To raise awareness about the importance of the audiometrist's effective conversation with the patient and to make it effective clinically and educationally. In addition, to develop the theoretical infrastructure for the application of speech audiometry in children with speech or language development problems in the pediatric group.
The main tasks of audiometrists include newborn hearing screening. In addition, hearing screening has started for school age children for the last 3 years and it is among the duties and powers of these audiometrists. For this reason, it is to provide basic knowledge and equipment about children with or without speech loss.
