Course Objective

Objective is to teach students Developmental Psychology. Information about psychological development phases are the main streams of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Trainess will learn the differentiation of Developmental Psychology and other psychological sub areas.
2   Trainess will learn basic assumptions and concepts of Developmental Psychology.
3   Trainess will learn the thoughts of other theorists about human personality.
4   Trainess will learn Basic Development Theory.
5   Trainess will learn the developmental process and phases of human beeings.
6   Trainess willl learn the aim, application and the assesment of developmental tests.
7   Trainess will learn about Language development and identify delays in Children.
8   Trainess will learn how to approach families of children that have Language Development Delays.

1 What is psychology and their subdivisions.
2 Introduction to Developmental Psychology.
3 The viewpoint of psychoanalitic, behavioral and humanistic theoretician to developmental psychology.
4 Psychosexual periods of Freud and Erikson & the eight developmental phases of humans.
5 Measurement of Development and widely used national tests in this subject area.
6 Definition of Social skills, Fine motor, Language skills, Gross motor.
7 Deeper look into Language Skills.
8 Piaget anf Learning theory.
9 The viewpoint of Piaget to Language learning and development.
10 Role of family in Children Development.
11 Additivities of family to Language skill development.
12 General overwiev and discussion.
