Course Objective

Within a learner-centred framework, this course aims to enhance students' intermediate-level writing, reading, speaking and listening skills as well as use of English with the employment of a variety of methods, medium and materials.

3 Taste - Vocabulary: Describing food, Easily-confused words Use of English: Future plans (be going to), future arrangements, defining relative clauses Unit 3
4 Survival - Vocabulary: Describing people, survival skills Use of English: comparative, superlative adjectives, indirect questions Unit 4
5 Stages- Vocabulary: Friendship, habits Use of English: Past habits, Modal verbs Unit 5
6 Places- Vocabulary: geographical features, urban environment Use of English: prediction, countable/uncountable nouns Unit 6
7 General review and midterm exam
8 Body - Vocabulary: Appearance, Personality, illness Use of English: First conditional, gerund-infinitive Unit 7
