Course Objective

General condition of the Turkish novel of the 1970s to today, the community and understand trends, to compare the history of the present Turkish novel by making critical readings, the scientific community to evaluate the echoes.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the bonds of tradition with contemporary Turkish novel
2   Affecting contemporary Turkish novel, historical, political and social events, comprehend and interpret.
3   Contemporary Turkish relations with Western literary trends and understand the novel.
4   Novels of contemporary Turkish literature on the application of learned theories.
5   Types of post-modernism movement in Turkish literature to evaluate novels and authors.

5 Oguz Atay's novels and techniques of post-modern narrative
6 Examination of on Kafka and Dostoyevsky's influence of Oguz Atay's novel "Tutunamayanlar"
7 Orhan Pamuk's art and evaluation of post-modern narrative possibilities of novel "Benim Adım Kırmızı"
