Course Objective

This course is intended to teach students the development of city of Izmir in the field of recent administrative, social and economics in detail.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define urban historiography
2   To be able to have knowledge regarding urban historiography studies
3   To be able to have idea about Izmir's administrative, social, economic and architectural structure in the last period of Ottoman
4   To be able to learn 20th century's Izmir's historical dynamics
5   To be able to have skills of reaching historical sources and scientific publications
