Course Objective

Learning the techniques of hand and beat techniques that form the basis of conducting; breathing, concentration and motion studies; giving conductor ability of recognizing his/her body as a musical instrument; applying the qualifications acquired with these ways during the rehearsals with orchestra.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student can comprehend the basic practicing techniques that related to conducting.
2   Student can practice the basic beating tecniques with orchestra.
3   Student can do the harmonic and formal analysis on the score.
4   Student can make written and oral coments in terms of historical and musical that related to Orchestral Music and Literature, and can discuss the differences.
5   Student can practice the beating tecniques on a musical work during the rehearsals with the orchestra.

It is done by the way of giving student visual and audio records releated to the basic beating tecniques by instructor and making him/her practice these tecniques, during the lesson.
