Course Objective

The purpose of the class:
This class aims that the students of the Painting Department become competent in the research,design and application process of the Mosaic Technique, which is a method for the creation of a mural painting in in public and private spaces.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   possess theoretical knowledge about the Mosaic technique, from past to present
2   know about the tools and the methots of application
3   be able to transfer the experience they accumulata during the creation of Mosaic to their own work,if they feel the need to the so
4   be able to work professionally to make a mosaic painting, in case they receive an offer from offical or private institutions or individuals
5   be able to take part in restoration work of this technique.

1.Students are provided with the information about the mosaic technique together with visual examples.
2.A Project Presentation File is demanded,that is application oriented.
3.Students choose one of the topic offered,and they prepare an assigment during the semester.
4.Application process is completed by mural discussion and commentary.
