Course Objective

The basic principles of the sculpture art are introduced by the copy works made by clay, which is one of the basic shaping materials, out of live models and moulages.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will be able to develop his/her skill of analyzing and shape the form he/she sees
2   will be able to comprehend the form understandings of the general styles of art by researching and studying with busts
3   will be able to adapt his artistic anatomy knowledge to his/her bust works
4   will be able to comprehend the portrait work by means of a live model
5   will be able to gain basic professional terminology knowledge related to his/her field.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Motivation is created by showing various samples belonging to the sculpture art to the students
Modelling works made in the workshop are monitored during the lesson and the students are guided
The general concepts with respect to art are defined by reading the resources recommended within the scope of the course

Course Policies and Rules

The students complete the works assigned to them in time and in full.
Minimum obligatory attendance ratio per semester is 80%.
The applications with the materials will be made by the student himself/herself in the course workshop.
Disciplinary punishment is applied for the behaviors that disturb the workshop and working order.
Each student will supply the abovementioned materials and equipment by himself/herself.
The students will photograph each of their works at completion and collect and present them in an archive file containing the information related to their working
