Course Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce the principles of design, monitoring and evaluation of international development projects funded by National and International donor agencies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand the basic concepts of development projects
2   Introduce the components of develpment projects
3   Introduce the basic methods that are used in designing development projects
4   Introduce basic monitoring methods and techniques
5   Be able to discuss the importance of evaluation in project management
6   Understand the evaluation techniques used in international development projects
7   Be able to apply the evaluation techniques in practice
