Course Objective

Be able to understand the design methods for original music composition for solo instrument, voice, various instrumental / vocal ensembles with the theoretical and practical applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to create original compositions with in the integrity and consistency.
2   Be able to identify the similarities and contrasts between the compositional techniques
3   Be able to explain composition techniques according to background characteristics
4   Be able to interpret the effects of the overall structure of the works with various aesthetic approaches
5   Be able to identify composition techniques which are used in the Baroque, Classical, Romantic era and 20th century music
