Course Objective

The aim is to give the sudents techniques, abilities and skills for ensemble playing, with giving information about Baroque and Classical Eras, and Wind and Percussion Instruments phases and theirs repertories.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explaining and knowing of the knowlegde and analysing of the Baroque and Classical Eras,
2   Being capable of making formal explanations about Baroque and Classical Eras works which written for Wind and Percussion Instruments,
3   Identifing the Baroque and Classical eras composers masterpieces with their periodical characteristics,
4   Interpreting the Baroque and Classical eras composers masterpieces with the Wind and Percussion instruments ensemble.
5   Gaining competence about the techniques on Ensemble playing, attitudes, leadership or creating connections between the members of the group,

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The lessons are done by being taught of the technique and interpretation diversity of the works written for Wind and Percussion Instruments and also being taught of the methods and preparations for the concerts.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Exam: The student gains the %70 of his/her total success point from mid-term and final exams during one term. The students are responsible from the pieces/works which they study in the semester. The exam is done by a practical way as a group.
Concert: The student gains the %30 of his/her success point from the concert.

Assessment Criteria

Active participation to the lecture +Homework+Projects(Concert,Recital)
Exams are intented to measure the students knowledge,ability and skills which are stated in program outcomes.

It is compulsory to participation to the lessons %90.
1. The excuses about the homeworks or presantations will not accepted except the health issues.
2. It will not assess if the student can t complete the preparation to the concert on time.
The materials for the course must be available.
