Course Objective

It is aimed to reach an international level of technical and stylistic knowledge of opera and along with these knowledges, be a performer as a soloist in national and international opera houses.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can have the knowledge of performing the pieces belong to different periods of music at an advanced level.
2   Can have a singing tecnique at an advanced level.
3   Can build a repertoire of songs suitable for the type of his/her voice at an advanced level
4   Can improve the ability of showing the opera culture in different concert halls at an advanced level.
5   Can analyze and make comment on a piece related to the field in universal validities at an advanced level.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

There will be 2 examinations during the semester and students will get the %100 of success from these exams, an active participation to the course and students are to prepare the repertoire on time.

Students are expected to be self-efficent, be creative, aware of style differences and have a technical mastery at an advanced level
