Course Objective

To explain the epistemological expansions of the Anatolian word and the ancient Anatolian civilizations and ages in chronological order, to map and question the contributions of the ancient Anatolian civilizations and cultures to the social, artistic development. , to investigate (Archeology, Ethnography, Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, etc.) and visual / written sources . To discuss topics through current examples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Discussing the historical importance of the archaeological museums.
2   Discussing cultures of ancient civilizations in Anatolia.
3   Determining the plastic and semiotic importance of Leiter Anatolian motifs.
4   Discussing the reflections of Old Anatolian culture today.
5   Determining the importance of Anatolian Civilizations in man history.
6   Determining the importance of ancient Anatolian civilizations.

2 Mounds in Anatolia and their tracks in life (Göbeklitepe,Kültepe, Alişar, Çatalhöyük, Alacahöyük)
3 Pottery art in Hittite (terracotta) cultural elements in decorations (Bitik Vazosu/Kutsal Evlenme -Sacred Marriage-)
4 Abstract approach in the The sun courses with material, shape and form
5 Animal figures and caps in the form of animals (Ankara Museum of Anatolian Civilizations)
6 Ancient texts / myths and cultural items
7 Semiotic analysis of figures and descriptions of reliefs in Ivriz Rock Reliefs

9 Mother Goddess-Mythological Mother Cult in Anatolian Culture. Mother Goddess Kibele -Kubaba-Inanna.
10 The main (Leit) motifs with historical and cultural importance; The depiction of Antiochus I of Komagene and Hercules' handshake and the cultural value of this scene.
11 Temple of Zeus in Pergamum (Ejder Alkyoneus depiction) and museum review. Didim and Istanbul Medusa Head Sculptures.
12 Traces of ancient life culture in Smyrna and Yeşilova (8500 BC)
13 Artemis temple and Artemis statue in Seljuk-symbolic analysis and Aphrodite depictions, Aphrodisias sculpture school and its importance.
