To enable the students to apprehend early sources and contemporary studies of Islamic History by comparing them.

1   Comprehends how to read and evaluate studies of Islamic History
2   Learns how ez-Zuhri examines the narrations
3   Understands the thoughts of Ibn Khaldun about history in his Muqaddimah
4   Learns the characteristics of Islamic Historians in Muqaddimah
5   Learns the criticism Ibn Khaldun directs towards Islamic historians in his Muqaddimah
