Course Objective

Become knowledgeable about the types of decorative arts such as calligraphy, illumination, marbling. By studying the historical development of this arts aims to reval their significance in terms of art history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehends the intricacies of Turkish decorative arts.
2   Recognizes the important types and works.
3   Will be able to contribute fully equipped of understanding the importance and protection of traditional handicrafts.
4   Meets with the problems of the field and gains the ability of critical thinking and point of view.
5   Gains the ability of re-interpreting and reproducing the knowledge which is learnt during the Ph.D. program.
