Course Objective

To apprehend the main characteristics of the Quran based on phenomenological sociology along with the historical-critical approach and to understand and interpret the Quran by the sociological imagination.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will see the social and historical athmosphere of the Quran when revealed.
2   They will understant the main theme of the Quran.
3   They will understand and interpret the Quran with the sociological imagination.
4   They will discuss Quran translations based on phenomenology.
5   They will sociologically analyze the Quran.
