Course Objective

Presenting the general view of traditional religious education. To draw the framework of traditional religious education institutions by giving detailed information about Islamic education and institutions before the madrasah and religious education during the madrasah period.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to comprehend the general change of traditional religious education and religious education institutions, and they will be able to understand the political, social, religious and so on. explain and relate cultural and processes.
2   They will be able to outline Ottoman reform and republic period formal religious education and associate it with school programs.
3   They will be able to evaluate the importance and results of law on unity of education in terms of religious education.
4   Students will have information about the forms of religious education taking place in schools in the Republican era.

6 Education and religious education in mosques of early period of conquers
7 Religious educational institutions in Amawii s period

9 Religious educational institutions and new educational institutions in Abbasi s
10 Establishing the madrasahs in Salchuks and other Turkish Islamic countries
11 Aims of establishing the Nizamiyah Madrasahs and their programmes
12 Madrasahs, in early Ottoman years
13 Madarasahs in great years of Ottomans
14 Religious education in Takkah and Zaviyah in Ottoman years
