Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to bring all history of Hadith to contemporary days and to follow current academic improvements in Hadith area in Turkey and Islamic World.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gaining cultural continuity in the aspect of causes and effects.
2   Gaining ability to make comparison between the studies in Hadith area with their contents according to changes in time and circumstances.
3   Get the knowledge about the educational institutions on Hadith.
4   They will be able to follow recent intellectual discussions about Hadith both in our country and in the world.
5   They will try to see the Social Reflections of understanding of Hadith and Sunnah.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

In the mid-term and Final Exam: The students will be asked about the changes in Hadith area throughout the History, and about the social, relgious, political and econimacal effects on this.

Students will be assased acording to mid-term exam, Final exam and their participation in Classes.
